Telecom companies like Jio and Airtel may increase mobile tariffs after the elections, which may increase the out-of-pocket expenses of common people.
After a long time, people have started getting relief on the inflation front. However, problems may arise in this matter soon. After the Lok Sabha elections, common people may face a new shock of inflation and this shock can be given by telecom companies.
Plans of telecom companies। A recent report suggests that telecom companies like Jio and Airtel are planning to increase tariffs. These companies can announce increase in mobile tariff any time after the completion of Lok Sabha elections in the country. If this happens then it is going to be expensive for people to use mobile phones after the elections ending in June.
Tariff can increase by this much:
This apprehension has been expressed in a PTI report quoting analyst Antique Stock Broking. Antique Stock Broking believes that major telecom companies like Jia and Airtel may make their plans expensive after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. There is a fear that telecom companies may increase tariffs by 15 to 17 percent after the elections.
However, mobile companies have not yet said anything officially about this. Talking about inflation, the sequence of relief continued in the month of March. According to the data released a day ago, the retail inflation rate came down to below 5 percent in the month of March.
