Amidst speculations about senior Congress leader Kamal Nath and his son Nakul Nath joining BJP, many Madhya Pradesh Congress MLAs reached Delhi on Sunday. The number of MLAs is half a dozen and all the MLAs are said to be close to Kamal Nath. Sources close to the veteran leader told the agency that three of these MLAs are from Chhindwara, while the other three MLAs from the region are ready to go to Delhi.
Kamal Nath, nine-time MP from Chhindwara and currently MLA from this seat, has previously been the CM of the state. After Congress’s disappointing performance in the assembly elections held in November last year, he was removed from the post of state president of the party. The MLAs who have reached Delhi are not answering phone calls. Some Congress insiders claimed that Kamal Nath loyalist and former Minister of State Lakhan Ghanghoria is also camping with him in Delhi.
