Siddaramaiah took oath as Chief Minister and DK Shivakumar as Deputy CM in Karnataka today. Apart from this, the governor administered the oath of cabinet minister to 8 MLAs. With this, Siddaramaiah’s team is also ready. The team includes G Parameshwara, KH Muniyappa, KJ George, MB Patil, Satish Jarkiholi, Priyank Kharge, Ramalinga Reddy and Zameer Ahmed Khan. The youngest minister is 44 year old Priyank Kharge while the oldest minister is 76 year old KJ George.
Karnataka Congress MLA G Parameshwara is a Dalit leader. He had earlier insisted on being appointed as Deputy CM. Parameshwara had registered his sixth victory in the assembly elections in Karnataka on 13 May. This time Parameshwara won the election from Koratagere constituency with a margin of 14,347 votes. He has served as Karnataka Congress chief for eight years.
