Before the Lok Sabha elections 2024, the alliance of Aam Aadmi Party and Congress has broken in Delhi. The Congress high command is angry after the Aam Aadmi Party announced its candidates in Assam and Gujarat. The central leadership has asked the state leadership to start preparations for all the 7 Lok Sabha seats of Delhi.

Congress will contest on all seats in Delhi

Aam Aadmi Party had proposed to give one seat to Congress in Delhi, which was rejected by Congress. The Congress Screening Committee has asked all the seven constituencies of Delhi to shortlist their candidates. The Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday (February 13) said it wants to contest six of the seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi and is ready to give one seat to the Congress as part of the alliance.

There was no discussion even in Bengal, Bihar and Punjab.

In West Bengal, TMC Chief Mamata Banerjee has already announced to contest the elections alone, apart from the India alliance. After this, Nitish Kumar’s party JDU has also separated from the India alliance. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has also said that he will contest the elections there alone.

Aam Aadmi Party has fielded Chaitra Vasava from Bharuch, Gujarat and Umesh Bhai Makwana from Bhavnagar. Aam Aadmi Party has demanded 8 seats out of 26 seats in Gujarat. Sandeep Pathak had said that his party will wait for Congress’s reply for a few days, after which it will announce the names of its candidates on six seats.
