Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Sarika Paswan, supporting Rahul Gandhi, said on Saturday (August 12) that he (Rahul) gets proposals from Hollywood and Bollywood. It is ridiculous that he will give a ‘flying kiss’ to Union Minister Smriti Irani. In fact, the RJD leader has shared an interview given on Rahul Gandhi’s Flying Kiss controversy on his Facebook.
In a video going viral on social media, the woman leader said, “Who told Smriti Irani to catch Rahul Gandhi’s flying kiss?” Will she ever be able to prove that Rahul Gandhi’s flying kiss was for her? These are the people who spread hatred. They spread hatred on religion, caste and now on behaviour.”
Brij Bhushan Singh questioned ?
Sarika Paswan said, “What about Brij Bhushan Singh who touched the chest of female athletes. What about the BJP leader who urinated on a Dalit man? What about women being paraded naked in Manipur?”
Neetu Singh also defended Rahul Gandhi
Significantly, Sarika Paswan Flying is the second woman leader of Bihar to speak in favor of Rahul Gandhi on which dispute. Earlier, Congress leader Neetu Singh had said that Rahul Gandhi has no dearth of women. If Rahul Gandhi has to give a flying kiss, he will give it to a young woman. Why would he give a flying kiss to a 50 year old woman?
Smriti Irani expressed objection
Rahul Gandhi’s ‘flying kiss’ had become a major issue during the no-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha. Union Minister Smriti Irani objected and said that only a misogynist can make such a gesture. After this, more than 20 women MPs had complained to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and handed over a letter to him.
Demand for action against Rahul Gandhi
The letter states, “I would like to draw your kind attention to the incident done in the House by Rahul Gandhi, Member of Parliament from Wayanad, Kerala. He behaved indecently and made inappropriate gestures towards Union Minister and Member of this House Smriti Irani .We demand strict action against this kind of conduct, which has not only insulted the dignity of women members in the House, but has also brought them into disrepute. This incident has brought down the dignity of this prestigious House.”
