“Deepfakes are a big challenge for the entire world”, said PM Narendra Modi at the inauguration of GPAI 2023.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) Summit 2023 at Bharat Mandapam at Pragati Maidan. While addressing the summit, PM Modi expressed concern about deepfakes and other flaws in AI. In the summit to be held from 12 to 14 December, the PM said that deep fake is a challenge for the entire world because it can be used deliberately to spread lies.
PM Modi said, “I am happy that India is going to preside over this summit next year. This summit is taking place at a time when there is a huge debate going on all over the world regarding AI. There are positive and negative aspects of this debate. All kinds of perspectives are coming to the fore. Therefore, every country associated with this summit has a huge responsibility.”
