In the 16th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Chennai Super Kings won the title under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Right after this, Dhoni had his knee surgery done. During the entire season, Dhoni was seen playing with a knee problem. For this reason, he did not get down to bat too high in the batting order. Chennai Super Kings has now become the team with maximum 5 trophy wins in IPL history along with Mumbai at number one.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni did not miss a single match in the whole season despite knee problem. After Chennai’s victory in the final match on 30 May, Dhoni underwent knee surgery at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai on 1 June. A few days later, he was discharged from the hospital and went to his home in Ranchi.
Now Dhoni’s wife Sakshi has posted a video of him on social media. Dhoni is seen playing with his daughter Ziva and dogs in this video. During this, Dhoni was seen walking very easily. It can be clearly inferred from this that Dhoni is recovering very fast after the surgery.

Dhoni had said this about playing in the next season
After winning the final match of the 16th season of IPL, Dhoni had said that he still has 7 to 8 months to decide whether he will play in the next season or not. Will take a decision keeping fitness in mind. CSK team CEO Kashi Vishwanathan had told in his statement to ESPN Cricinfo that Dhoni had not complained about his discomfort even once till the final match.
