Amit Shah said, “We will make everyone visit the Ram temple for free, just form the government in Telangana.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday announced that if the saffron party comes to power in the upcoming assembly elections, the BJP will provide a free visit to the Ram temple in Ayodhya to all the people of Telangana. Shah, who addressed election rallies in Gadwal, Nalgonda and Warangal, alleged that the Congress has obstructed and delayed the construction of Ram temple for the last 70 years. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has performed the Bhoomi Pujan of the temple and now the consecration will be done on January 22, 2024.
Shah urged people in Telangana to bring BJP to power and said “the party-led government will make free arrangements for all to have darshan of Lord Ram in Ayodhya.” Targeting K. Chandrashekhar Rao-led BRS government in Telangana He said, “It gave religion-based reservation to Muslims, which is unconstitutional.”
He said, “BJP has decided to abolish religious reservation and increase the quota for OBC and ST when the next government is formed in the state. Under the pressure of Owaisi, reservation was snatched from OBC and ST and given to Muslims.” Describing both Congress and BRS as ‘anti-backward class’, he claimed that “only BJP and PM Modi can serve the interest of BC. He reiterated BJP’s promise of making a backward class leader the Chief Minister of the state.”
Noting that OBC population in Telangana is 52 per cent, Shah said that if the saffron party comes to power, the CM post will be given to a candidate from the community. Shah attacked the BRS government and alleged that it is one of the most corrupt governments in the country. Listing the alleged unfulfilled promises of the BRS government, Shah said that the Chandrashekhar Rao government has created a world record in making false promises.
He called BRS a ‘corrupt bribery committee’ and also alleged corruption worth thousands of crores of rupees in various government programs including the Kaleshwaram Irrigation Project and Mission Bhagiratha. Along with this, BRS MLAs were also accused of taking bribe of Rs 1 lakh to Rs 3 lakh from the beneficiaries of ‘Dalit Bandhu’ scheme. Shah said that, if BJP comes to power, it will ensure that the looted amount will be deposited back into the state treasury by making payment from those corrupt.
Referring to the paper leak of government examinations, the Union Minister said, “The youth of the state have been the most affected during the BRS regime, the question papers of the State Public Service Commission have been leaked 16 times. BJP has given 2.5 lakh rupees to the youth in a transparent manner in five years.” Will provide lakhs of government jobs.” Continuing his attack on the BRS government, he alleged that “it is indulging in appeasement politics. The government has given second language status to Urdu and four percent reservation to Muslims.”
He termed BRS, Asaduddin Owaisi-led AIMIM and Congress as ‘2G, 3G and 4G’ parties. He said, “This means that BRS is led by KCR and his sons, AIMIM is led by leaders of three generations of the Owaisi family and Congress is led by Jawaharlal Nehru to Rahul Gandhi.”
