Arrest without warrant, ban on strike… Know- what is the law which CM Yogi implemented in UP

Yogi Adityanath’s government of Uttar Pradesh has taken a big decision. Yogi government has banned strikes in Uttar Pradesh for 6 months. Yogi government has used the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) to ban the strike in UP for 6 months. This rule will be applicable to all departments, corporations and corporations of the state government.

A notification banning the strike has been issued. Last year also, the UP government had banned the strike by implementing the ESMA Act. Then some employees of the electricity department went on strike. ESMA was passed in the Parliament in 1968. Using this, any state government can ban strikes in its area. It can be applied for up to 6 months at a time.
