In West Bengal, TMC MLA Madan Mitra threatened Governor C V Anand Bose to “book a ticket for July 11 to leave the state”. Taking a jibe at CV Anand Bose, he said, “The governor is blind Dhritarashtra. Why didn’t he go to violence-hit Manipur?”
Governor inciting violence while sitting in Raj Bhavan
The MLA said, ‘The way the governor is inciting violence by sitting in the Raj Bhavan, he is calling the opposition to the Raj Bhavan. The miscreants are being given shelter in the Peace House of Raj Bhavan. In the Governor’s Peace House, criminals from all over the world are roaming around with pistols in their waists. TMC leader Mitra warned the governor, “Do whatever you can, but book a ticket for the 11th. You will have to leave Bengal.” In fact, on July 11, the Panchayat elections will be counted.
There are panchayat elections in West Bengal on July 8, while the results of the elections will be announced on July 11, but before that large-scale violence has started in the state. Apart from BSF, the Center has deployed paramilitary forces to control the violence.
