PM Modi is going to give a new gift of development to Jammu, IIT, AIIMS and new airport and operation of new trains

PM Modi Jammu Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jammu on 20th February i.e. Tuesday and will inaugurate projects worth more than Rs 30,500 crore here. The projects that PM Modi will dedicate to the country along with laying the foundation stone here include many sectors like roads, rail, infrastructure, health, education, rail, aviation, petroleum and civil infrastructure.

What is PM Modi’s program?
Tomorrow, Tuesday, February 20, at around 11:30 am, in a public ceremony at Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of several projects worth more than Rs 30,500 crore. Along with this, many more projects will be inaugurated and dedicated to the nation. PM Modi will also interact with the beneficiaries of several government schemes under the ‘Developed India, Developed Jammu’ programme.

Projects worth Rs 13,375 crore for education sector:
To promote education across the country, IIT Jammu, IIM Jammu will be inaugurated and dedicated to the nation along with the people of the state. Apart from this, many big educational institutions like IIT Bhilai, IIT Tirupati, IIITDM Kanchipuram, IIM Bodhgaya, IIM Visakhapatnam, Indian Institute of Skills (IIS) Kanpur will be inaugurated and dedicated from here.

AIIMS Jammu will be inaugurated:.    Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate AIIMS Jammu, the foundation stone of which was also laid by the PM in February 2019. PM will inaugurate All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Vijaypur (Samba), Jammu. These AIIMS have been established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana of the government.

Hundreds of new government employees will get joining orders
During the program, the Prime Minister will distribute joining orders to about 1500 new government employees of Jammu and Kashmir.

Gift of new trains to Jammu and Kashmir:
The Prime Minister will also flag off the first electric train in the valley and the train service between Sangaldan station and Baramulla station. Under this, he will dedicate to the nation several railway projects in Jammu and Kashmir, including the new railway line between Nihal-Khari-Sumber-Sangaldan (48 km) and the new electrified Baramulla-Srinagar-Banihal-Sangaldan section (185.66 km).

Will get gift of big projects for road: 
During the programme, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of important road projects including two packages (44.22 km) of Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway connecting Jammu to Katra. Once the work is completed through two packages of Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway, it will be very easy for the pilgrims to visit the holy temple of Mata Vaishno Devi.

* Two phases to make Srinagar Ring Road four lanes

Phase 2 of four-laning of Srinagar Ring Road includes upgrading of the existing Sumbal-Vayul NH-1. This 24.7 km long brownfield project will reduce congestion in and around Srinagar city. This will improve connectivity to popular tourist places like Manasbal Lake and Kheer Bhawani Temple. Travel time to Leh and Ladakh will also reduce.

*Five packages for upgradation of SrinagarBaramulla-Uri 161 km long stretch of NH-01
The upgradation of 161 km long stretch of Srinagar-Baramulla-Uri of NH-01 will provide strategic strength which will also boost the economic development of Baramulla and Uri.

*Construction of Kulgam Bypass and Pulwama Bypass on NH-444.
Kulgam Bypass and Pulwama Bypass on NH-444 connecting Qazigund – Kulgam – Shopian – Pulwama – Budgam – Srinagar will also boost road and infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir region.

Jammu airport’s new terminal building will be inaugurated
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of a new terminal building at Jammu Airport which will be spread over an area of 40,000 square meters. The new terminal building will be able to serve approximately 2000 passengers during peak hours.

PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of petroleum depot: 

Prime Minister Modi will also lay the foundation stone of petroleum depot in Jammu. To be built at a cost of about Rs 677 crore, this will be an ultramodern fully automatic depot which will have a storage capacity of about 100000 KL for the storage of Motor Spirit (MS), High Speed Diesel (HSD), Superior Kerosene Oil (SKO). Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF), Ethanol, Bio Diesel and Winter Grade HSD will also be mixed in this depot.
