Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The seat sharing formula has not been decided among the allies of ‘India Alliance’ regarding the Lok Sabha seats of Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav has released a new list of 11 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 on Monday (February 19). It is clear from this list that he has no alliance left with Rashtriya Lok Dal. These are the seats which SP was going to give to RLD under the alliance.
Even before this, Akhilesh Yadav has been announcing seats from ‘India Alliance’ without the seat sharing formula. Along with this, Rahul Gandhi’s not participating in ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ in Amethi on Monday is also giving a big signal.
It is believed that Akhilesh Yadav wants that the division of seats in Uttar Pradesh between the two parties should be finalized before joining Rahul Gandhi’s visit. The SP supremo had recently written a letter to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and assured that he would participate in Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Amethi or Rae Bareli.
Samajwadi Party has announced candidates for 27 seats
Last month in January also, Akhilesh Yadav had announced candidates for 16 Lok Sabha seats without consulting his biggest ally Congress of the ‘India Alliance’ party. At the same time, now it has surprised by announcement on 11 Lok Sabha seats.
A major reason behind this is also believed to be that Congress has demanded more seats from Samajwadi Party. Without giving any special attention to this issue, Samajwadi Party is busy in announcing the names of candidates for the seats.
SP candidate also announced from Pratapgarh seat of UP
The surprising thing is that Samajwadi Party has also announced the name of SP Singh Patel from Pratapgarh seat of UP. Whereas Rahul Gandhi is carrying out Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in this parliamentary constituency today. There was every possibility of the Samajwadi Party Chief attending the Amethi visit, but he did not. Political experts believe that SP is trying to show its dominance to Congress in this way in UP.
