Goa, Kerala and Maharashtra… Corona’s sub variant JN.1 spread in three states of the country, 21 cases reported

The risk of corona infection is increasing once again across the country. So far, 21 cases of sub-variant JN.1 of Covid-19 have been reported. Cases of new corona virus variants have been reported in Goa, Kerala and Maharashtra. Whereas so far 19 cases of this sub-variant have been reported in Goa alone. One case each has been detected in Kerala and Maharashtra.

JN.1, a sub-variant of the Omicron variant of Corona, has become one of the fastest spreading viruses in the last few weeks. Amid rising Covid cases across the country, NITI Aayog Member (Health) Dr VK Paul on Wednesday said there is no need to panic. Paul said that scientists in India are keeping a close eye on the new variant. However, VK Paul stressed the need for states to increase Covid preparedness, increase testing and strengthen their surveillance systems.
