After this, there is a possibility of announcing the schedule of assembly elections in these states. Sources gave this information on Monday (September 11). The Commission has already visited Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram to take stock of the election preparations.

The Election Commission will visit Rajasthan and Telangana in late September and early October. The commission includes Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, Election Commissioner Anup Chandra Pandey and Arun Goyal. After the tour, the Election Commission can announce the election schedule in these states.

Elections to be held in 5 states including Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan
It is noteworthy that before the announcement of elections, it is common for the Commission to visit the states where elections are going to be held. There are also instances where he has visited states after the announcement of the election programme. Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Mizoram and Rajasthan are likely to be held in October-November.

At the same time, the Election Commission had visited Aizawl in Mizoram on 29 August and Raipur in Chhattisgarh on 24 August.
The tenure of Mizoram Assembly will end on December 17
The tenure of the Mizoram Assembly is ending on December 17 this year, while the tenure of the Assemblies of Telangana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh is ending on different dates in January next year.
