Is the decision to remove Article 370 from Kashmir legal or illegal? Supreme Court’s decision will come today after 4 years, 4 months, 6 days
Today the Supreme Court will give an important verdict on the petitions challenging the legality of abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir.
On August 5, 2019, the Parliament abolished the effect of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, and also divided the state into two parts, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and made both of them union territories.
23 applications were filed against this in the Supreme Court, after hearing all of them, the court had reserved its decision in September and today the time for decision has come. That means, 4 years, 4 months, 6 days after the abrogation of 370, today the Supreme Court will give its verdict whether the decision of the Central Government was right or wrong.
