Giving a big gift to the elderly, the Yogi government has announced to give pension to all the eligible poor elderly women. Instructions have been given to the district social welfare officers in this regard. All eligible can apply through online portal.
Along with this, social welfare workers will go to the homes of those who are not able to apply for any reason and make them aware about taking pension. Under this scheme, the target is to provide benefits to 56 lakh elderly people above 60 years of age. Rs 1000 will be given as pension.
