Every year August 23 will now be celebrated as ‘National Space Day’ in India, PM Modi said while talking to ISRO experts

Chandrayaan 3: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached ISRO’s Command Network Mission Control Complex in Bengaluru to meet the scientists involved in the Chandrayaan 3 mission. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the scientists of the ISRO team for the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the moon. PM Modi announced that from now on 23rd August will be celebrated as ‘National Space Day’ every year.

Talking to the scientists of ISRO, PM Modi said, that day of August 23 in front of my eyes, it is rotating every second again and again. When the touch down was confirmed, the way people jumped here in the ISRO center and all over the country, who can forget that scene. Some memories become immortal. That moment became immortal.

Announcement to celebrate ‘National Space Day’ on August 23

PM Modi said, on August 23, when India hoisted the tricolor on the moon, that day will now be celebrated as ‘National Space Day’. PM Modi said that today the whole world has accepted the iron of our scientific consciousness and scientific talent. PM Modi praised the contribution of women scientists in Chandrayaan-3 mission.

Where the lander landed will be called ‘Shiv Shakti Point’

PM Modi announced the naming of the place on the moon where the lander Vikram landed. PM Modi said, the place where the moon lander landed on the moon will be known as ‘Shiv Shakti Point’. He said that the resolution for the welfare of humanity is contained in Shiva and with Shakti we get the ability to fulfill that resolution.

Where Chandrayaan-2 landed, it will be called ‘Tricolor Point’

Along with this, PM Modi also named the place on the surface of the moon where Chandrayaan-2 landed. PM Modi said, the place on the moon where Chandrayaan-2 has left its footprint, that place will now be called Tiranga Point. This tricolor point will become the inspiration of every thirsty person in India. It will teach us that no failure will be the last. If there is a strong will power, then success is bound to happen.

Chandrayaan 2 was sent to the moon in 2019, but lost control at the last moment and had a hard landing on the moon. PM Modi said, when the steps of Chandrayaan-2 were lying on the moon, it was decided to name it, but the circumstances were not like that at that time. We had then decided that when Chandrayaan-3 successfully steps on the moon, the name of the place where Chandrayaan-2’s lander landed would also be announced.
