Inaugural of Dehradun-Delhi Vande Bharat Express on 25 May, Trial on 23 May

The eagerly awaited Dehradun-Delhi is set to begin operations on May 25

Vande Bharat Express will be the first for Uttarakhand.  The Express will have eight coaches. All coaches will have chair cars. Under the leadership of PM Modi, said the Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually flag off the train on 25 May to inaugurate.

According to report of Live Hindustan, “On 25 May, the train will leave from the state capital Dehradun at 11 AM and passengers will be able to travel for free on the first day. Passengers can avail of free travel passes on 24 May.”

The train will be equipped with advanced system of GPS-based information systems, Bio toilets and automatic sliding doors. The semi- high-speed train runs at a speed of 100 km per hour in 52 seconds. The timing to travel between Dehradun to Delhi and vice versa will drastically decrease. The experts say, now one can reach to Delhi from Dehradun in 4 Hrs. 30 Minutes. The train will leave from Dehradun at 5:50 AM and will reach Delhi by 11 AM. The decision on the fares of Vande Bharat Express’ Dehradun-Delhi routes is not final yet.

The trial of the Express is going on 23 May.

The final announcement on the above is yet to be confirmed by the Uttarakhand Government.
