The process of debates, arguments and politics of symbols is going on whether the name of the country should be Bharat or India. In the midst of all this, the President of India has become the President of India, while the Prime Minister of India has become the Prime Minister of India. In the midst of the dispute between India and India, the central government has termed the change of name as a mere rumour, while the BJP has asked the opposition what is their problem with the change of name.

This controversy started when the President of India Draupadi Murmu sent an invitation letter to the dignitaries of the country on September 9 during the meeting of the G20 countries to be held between September 8 and 10. President of India was written in this letter. After this, the opposition started firing political arrows at the government regarding this name. In the midst of all this, the Ministry of External Affairs also wrote to the Prime Minister of India on PM Modi’s visit to Indonesia.

What did Union Minister Anurag Thakur say?
Meanwhile, Union Cabinet Minister Anurag Thakur said, ‘The talk of changing the name is just a rumour, nothing like this is going to happen in the special session of Parliament. I am a minister in the Government of India and the people of G20 have both India and India written on them, then why are rumors being spread without any reason. Who is spreading such rumours?

He said, ‘After all, what problem can anyone have with the word India, after all, what is the problem with the word India. This shows his mentality, he has a protest against India, probably that’s why when he goes abroad, he criticizes India there.

Why are opposition parties apprehensive about the special session of Parliament?
After the G20 summit is over, the government has to organize a special session of the Parliament from 18 to 23 September. The government has not yet made public the agenda of this session, due to which there is apprehension among the opposition parties. Sometimes the opposition parties are speculating that the government may bring UCC and sometimes they are saying that the government may amend the Constitution and replace it with India.
