West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee claimed on Tuesday (June 27) that the BJP-led government at the Center will run for 6 more months. Addressing a rally in Jalpaiguri for the panchayat elections, Banerjee said, “The Border Security Force (BSF) should work impartially because tomorrow the BJP will not be in power.”

Mamata Banerjee said that the next Lok Sabha elections will be held in February-March. The tenure of the BJP government is only around six months. He claimed that sensing defeat, the BJP is now trying to lobby with various groups and communities. She said, “I am not blaming all BSF officers. They guard our borders.”

Targeting the BJP over minorities, the TMC chief said, “Those who are accused of lynching minorities and Dalits are now sharing pictures with minorities. They are now sharing pictures with members of the Muslim community.” Sharing pictures to show how much he cares for them.”

He said, “BJP does not care about poor and deprived minorities, it is using them, but as long as didi is here, minorities are safe.” From the rally, Banerjee also announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh and a job for the next of kin of those allegedly killed in BSF firing.

Apart from this, Mamata Banerjee criticized the role of CPI(M) and Congress. He said these parties are helping the saffron camp amid their efforts to form a larger opposition alliance against the BJP at the Centre. We can have an alliance at the central level but in Bengal BJP-CPI(M)-Congress are working together and will be defeated.
